Young Carers Well-being Project Worker

£30,045

Camden is one of 6 pilot demonstration sites in the UK with DH funding for one year to focus on Carer Health and Wellbeing Checks.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Camden, NHS Camden and Camden Carers Centre, this role aims to identify hidden young adult carers aged 16 to 25 and deliver an assessment and support service. You will have a small caseload, undertake well-being checks, and develop / maintain local partnerships.

You will need youth work and health care experience (preferably qualified), have a commitment to teamwork and working sensitively with young people & adults with caring responsibilities from diverse and disadvantaged communities. You will be part of the Crossroads Young Carers Team and be connected to the (adult) Carers Health and Wellbeing Project Team.

We need a Project Worker who has excellent spoken and written skills; is equally at ease working with young people promoting health issues, encouraging engagement and case management as you are developing professional links with organisations and promoting the project as a whole.

Carer Support Worker

Crossroads Care Camden provides support and services for main carers and people with care needs in Camden.

We are always looking for experienced carer support workers to join our successful team of front line staff delivering high quality service to people looking after someone at home with care needs. 

It is essential you have experience and/or aptitude to work in the caring field, in either a paid or voluntary position.  It is desirable that you have been trained to NVQ Level 2 in Care however, our staff are given a full induction and approved training programme that meets with National Care Standards.  

The role is to support primary, often family carers, to take short planned regular breaks each week from their caring role We are looking for people with good availability to work with our clients either during the weekdays, evenings or at weekends.

We are currently looking for Greek speaking Carer Support Workers and those who have experience of working with children and young people with a disability.
